I alone cannot change the world, but I can cast a stone across the waters to create many ripples.
— Mother Teresa

Our story begins with two little girls named Olive & Annie.

Olive and Annie were born in Mathare slum in Nairobi, Kenya. They come from different mothers, yet their stories are one in the same.

Olive -- a beautiful 5 year old girl. Her smile can light up the room. Her mother was an addict. She is the second born of 3 children. Abandoned in Mathare and found a forever family at Zawadi la Tumaini Children's Home.

Annie -- a quiet 4 year old girl. Annie is timid and reserved but when she loves, she loves fiercely. She feels so deeply. Her mother was an addict, she continues to work on her journey to recovery. She is the second born of 3 children. Annie witnessed her mother being attacked in Mathare and lived on the streets, often having to fend for herself. She found a safe home at Zawadi la Tumaini Children's Home in 2016 and has since found peace and comfort in her new family.

Two young girls.

Two different stories.

Both girls found their forever home at Zawadi la Tumaini Children's Home and in turn regained hope for the future.
